• Why we collect this: We use your location data to display your current heading, coordinates, and altitude, and to allow you to save waypoints locally on your device.
• Storage & Transmission: Your location data is processed locally on your device. We do not store your location data on our servers or track your movements remotely. Saved waypoints are stored exclusively on your local device storage.

B. Weather Data

If you enable the weather feature, the app uses your current latitude and longitude to fetch local weather conditions.

• This is achieved by transmitting your coordinates securely to a third-party weather API (Open-Meteo).

C. Usage Data and Analytics

We do not use embedded analytics or telemetry tracking. Your interaction with the app remains private and stays on your device.

2. Third-Party Services

Our application utilizes the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify you or provide services:

• Google Play Services (Android version): Used for device location tracking capabilities.
• Open-Meteo: An open-source weather API used strictly to fetch weather conditions for your current location. We do not share personally identifiable information with Open-Meteo; they only receive the coordinate data necessary to retrieve the forecast.

3. Data Storage and Security

All preferences, settings, and saved locations are stored locally on your device using built-in secure storage mechanisms.

• Data Retention: Because your data is saved locally on your device, it is retained as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall Liquid Compass, all saved waypoints and preferences will be permanently deleted.
• Security: We employ industry-standard local security measures provided by the operating system to prevent unauthorized access to the app's local data.

4. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
